Soccer superstar Lionel Messi is extending his Miami contract through 2028. The Freedom Stadium is on track to open in 2026 and is conveniently located close to the Miami International airport.

This is an ambitious mixed-use project including a plan for parks, dining, event spaces and a 750 room hotel.

Note that the FIFA matches in 2026 will be played at the Hard Rock Stadium.
